Diving
Scuba diving is swimming underwater using SCUBA - Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. Using a cylinder of compressed gas to breathe (usually air, but sometimes other gases), scuba divers can stay underwater much longer than would be possible by just holding their breath - for hours or even days!
With the assistance of the Dhinasha Team and latest equipments such as scuba masks, breathing regulators, buoyancy devices, fins, and gauges scuba you can explore the underwater world which belongs to Maldives atolls. We use modern scuba diving systems which is very safe and easy to learn. All basic skills can be learned in as little as one to three days. For professionals lessons will not require.
The best diving sites are around the reefs of the atolls in Maldives, which have complex formations. The spherical reefs surround a lagoon, shallow enough to see downward to the ocean bed. The irregular and submerged reefs also known as 'thilas' are the best dive sites. Located in the middle of the channel, these thilas rise to about 10 meters of the surface from the atoll floor.
Some of the most important and interesting diving sites are the Guaridoo Corner (lots of friendly Napoleon Fishes can be sighted here), Cocoa Corner (Sharks, Rays and other marine life around here) and the Maldives Victory (A wreck sitting upright in the water and surrounded by coral reefs and a profusion of marine life).
