The Paraise Island Resort & Spa, a 5-star resort, opened in 1994 on the North Male' Atoll, 9.6km from the airport. Paradise Island is 1km long and 230m wide. It is surrounded by beach with excellent marine life around.
This Maldives island's attraction lies in its first class service with a variety of strategically located restaurants and the widest possible range of sports on both land and on sea. A large dive center with high quality equipment and instruction contributes to the island's numerous attractions.

At one of the five restaurants serving Italian, Japanese and seafood (Seafood Restaurant is currently in renovation). The 24 hour, a la carte Coffee Shop/Restaurant and the Main Restaurant serve international buffets at all meal times.
There are also five bars including the 24-hour main bar with disco floor serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
